TEACHING AND RESEARCH FACILITIES

Our priority is to provide a modern background for teaching and research. In addition to providing laboratories equipped with specialised instruments for basic soil science, our laboratories and classrooms are gradually being modernised with specific instruments for the determination of soil biochemical properties, elementary analysis of organic and inorganic materials, high powered microscopes, etc.

Students and departmental employees also make use of facilities at the Masaryk Forest School Forestry Enterprise Křtiny for practical teaching, final thesis projects and research. In the grounds, there is an educational path with permanently open soil profiles, available for practical exercises and excursions.
